A small turning workshop in Ruian has grown into an international manufacturer of keg spears, keg necks and keg couplers. AOBAOSI supplies customers worldwide, in Europe, North America and Asia, and is continually expanding its partner network.

Dai Guangting founded AOBAOSI in 1995 in Ruian, Zhejiang Province. The area is a hub for suppliers to the automotive and food industries, and that is exactly how it started: with turned parts for cars.
Three years later came the first keg necks, and from 2000 its own spears. Today AOBAOSI makes spears, keg necks and keg couplers on complete lines with its own CNC machining, forging and assembly. That keeps the entire process in one hand. Since 2026 the spears have been made at the new Lishui plant, the necks in Ruian, and the keg couplers in Ruian and Lishui. For Europe, stock has been held at Keg Exchange in Poland since March 2026, close to customers and delivered quickly.

- 2000First spearsDevelopment of its own spears begins.
- 2001Ruian Aobaosi MachineryRuian Aobaosi Machinery Co., Ltd. is founded and the first spears are sold in China.
- 2006ExportSpears and keg necks are exported for the first time.
- 2008AwardThe China Product Quality and Safety Supervision and Evaluation Center honours AOBAOSI for quality and integrity.
- 2010Brewery supplierAOBAOSI becomes a qualified supplier to the Tsingtao brewery.
- 2011Second generationJames Dai, the founder’s son, joins the company.
- 2012ISO 9001Quality management certification.
- 2015ISO 22000Food safety management certification.
- 2018Lean productionIntroduction of the Toyota Production System.
- 2019High-tech enterpriseRecognised as a national high-tech enterprise by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
- 2023New nameFollowing a capital increase, the company trades as Zhejiang Aobaosi Machinery Co., Ltd.
- 2026European warehouseSince March, Keg Exchange in Poland has provided the warehouse for Europe. That means short distances, fast deliveries and good availability for customers in Europe.
- 2026Lishui plantOn 30 September the new spear plant opens in Lishui with two fully automatic assembly lines.
